⁷ And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should give children suck? For I have borne him a son in his old age.

¹¹ Now Abraham and Sarah were old, `and' well stricken in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

²³ Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; Neither is there any divination with Israel: Now shalt it be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

³² For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and from the one end of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been `any such thing' as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

³³ Did ever a people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

³⁴ Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of `another' nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

⁸ There is none like unto thee among the gods, O Lord; Neither `are there any works' like unto thy works.

¹⁰ For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.

²¹ Then shalt thou say in thy heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?

⁸ Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? shall a nation be brought forth at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

¹⁰ to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly `places' might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹⁰ when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.
