²² And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,

² And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

³ And all the people brake off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

⁸ Finally, `be' ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:

³ Whose `adorning' let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on apparel;

⁹ In like manner, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefastness and sobriety; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly raiment;

¹⁰ but (which becometh women professing godliness) through good works.

¹¹ And I decked thee with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

¹² And I put a ring upon thy nose, and ear-rings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

³² Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

¹⁹ the pendants, and the bracelets, and the mufflers;

²⁰ the headtires, and the ankle chains, and the sashes, and the perfume-boxes, and the amulets;

²¹ the rings, and the nose-jewels;

²² the festival robes, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the satchels;

²³ the hand-mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the veils.

¹ Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the entrance of the house.

⁴⁷ And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him. And I put the ring upon her nose, and the bracelets upon her hands.

³⁰ And it came to pass, when he saw the ring, and the bracelets upon his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me. That he came unto the man. And, behold, he was standing by the camels at the fountain.

¹⁵ My lord, hearken unto me. A piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that betwixt me and thee? Bury therefore thy dead.

¹⁶ And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron. And Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current `money' with the merchant.
