² And Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her; And he took her, and lay with her, and humbled her.

² that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.

¹⁰ In thee have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness; in thee have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity.

¹¹ And one hath committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

²⁰ Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise; But the companion of fools shall smart for it.

⁹ If my heart hath been enticed unto a woman, And I have laid wait at my neighbor's door;

¹ I made a covenant with mine eyes; How then should I look upon a virgin?

² And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

²⁴ Behold, here is my daughter a virgin, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not any such folly.

²⁵ But the men would not hearken to him: so the man laid hold on his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

¹ And Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines.

²⁹ then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty `shekels' of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.

²⁴ then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them to death with stones; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbor's wife: so thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.

¹⁴ And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not deal with her as a slave, because thou hast humbled her.

⁶ And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not aught `that was' with him, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was comely, and well-favored.

⁷ And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

¹⁹ And he bought the parcel of ground, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for a hundred pieces of money.

² And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. And Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

¹⁷ and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

²⁸ but I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
