¹⁸ And the men were afraid, because they were brought to Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.

³⁵ And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraid.

⁸ but sin, finding occasion, wrought in me through the commandment all manner of coveting: for apart from the law sin `is' dead.

¹⁶ But Herod, when he heard `thereof', said, John, whom I beheaded, he is risen.

²⁶ And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear.

²⁷ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

² And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.

¹⁶ When I thought how I might know this, It was too painful for me;

⁵ There were they in great fear, where no fear was; For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: Thou hast put them to shame, because of God hath rejected them.

¹⁴ As through a wide breach they come: In the midst of the ruin they roll themselves `upon me'.

²¹ A sound of terrors is in his ears; In prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

⁴ But his father and his mother knew not that it was of Jehovah; for he sought an occasion against the Philistines. Now at that time the Philistines had rule over Israel.

²² And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

¹⁷ and, lo, he hath laid shameful things `to her charge', saying, I found not in thy daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.

¹⁴ and lay shameful things to her charge, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came nigh to her, I found not in her the tokens of virginity;

²⁸ And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they turned trembling one to another, saying, What is this that God hath done unto us?

²¹ And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
