²⁶ And they told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt. And his heart fainted, for he believed them not.

²⁸ and the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I have not seen him since:

³⁵ And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down to Sheol to my son mourning. And his father wept for him.

⁴¹ And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?

³⁴ saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

¹¹ And these words appeared in their sight as idle talk; and they disbelieved them.

⁷ When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, into thy holy temple.

¹ When Jehovah brought back those that returned to Zion, We were like unto them that dream.

²¹ He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his substance;

²⁴ I smiled on them, when they had no confidence; And the light of my countenance they cast not down.

¹⁶ If I had called, and he had answered me, Yet would I not believe that he hearkened unto my voice.

⁸ So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

⁹ Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not;

³⁸ And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left: if harm befall him by the way in which ye go, then will ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.

³⁶ And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.
