²³ Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.

²⁷ And the seven lean and ill-favored kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind; they shall be seven years of famine.

⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

¹⁰ For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

²⁴ Doth he that ploweth to sow plow continually? doth he `continually' open and harrow his ground?

²⁵ When he hath levelled the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and put in the wheat in rows, and the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in the border thereof?

⁶ In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thy hand; for thou knowest not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

²³ Much food `is in' the tillage of the poor; But there is that is destroyed by reason of injustice.

¹¹ He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread; But he that followeth after vain `persons' is void of understanding.

²⁶ He that withholdeth grain, the people shall curse him; But blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

⁵ Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth; He shall maintain his cause in judgment.

³⁶ And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation,

³⁷ And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase.

¹ Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

⁶ For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and there are yet five years, in which there shall be neither plowing nor harvest.

¹⁰ And he that supplieth seed to the sower and bread for food, shall supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:
