⁹ These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, `and' perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

⁵ and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

²⁴ and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

²² and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

¹ And Jehovah said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

¹ And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and turned away from evil.

¹⁴ though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²⁰ though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter; they should but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned `of God' concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

⁵ ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁸ And Jehovah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil.

⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, `even' that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

¹⁰ that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;

¹¹ if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.

¹² Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus.

¹³ Brethren, I could not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing `I do', forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,

¹⁴ I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:

¹¹ Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;

¹⁷ For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

²² And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned `of God' by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.

¹ This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

¹ Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, `namely', of Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who hath fed me all my life long unto this day,

⁶ And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant David my father great lovingkindness, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great lovingkindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

¹⁷ But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

² And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, but not with a perfect heart.

⁴ I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor, I who called upon God, and he answered: The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.

³⁷ Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a `happy' end to the man of peace.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

²⁰ Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

⁴ Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith.

²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

⁵⁰ And behold, a man named Joseph, who was a councillor, a good and righteous man

⁴ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven.
