⁵ Now therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

⁴⁰ Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Jehovah.

⁴ But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.

⁵ Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.

⁷ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

¹² Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard: and I am come for thy words' sake.

¹⁴ Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to rescue him.

⁴ And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall show thee; for, to the intent that I may show them unto thee, art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

¹³ Mark ye well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces: That ye may tell it to the generation following.

²¹ And he that regarded not the word of Jehovah left his servants and his cattle in the field.

²³ And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.

¹⁷ But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!

¹⁵ And now, I pray you, consider from this day and backward, before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of Jehovah.

¹⁶ Through all that time, when one came to a heap of twenty `measures', there were but ten; when one came to the winevat to draw out fifty `vessels', there were but twenty.

¹⁷ I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; yet ye `turned' not to me, saith Jehovah.

¹⁸ Consider, I pray you, from this day and backward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth `month', since the day that the foundation of Jehovah's temple was laid, consider it.
