¹¹ And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins:

⁴ For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

¹ For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

³ And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto Jehovah: he-lambs a year old without blemish, two day by day, for a continual burnt-offering.

¹ For the law having a shadow of the good `things' to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.

²⁷ who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the `sins' of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself.

⁹ according to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to enter into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the hour of incense.

¹¹ And from the time that the continual `burnt-offering' shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days.

³¹ And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, even the fortress, and shall take away the continual `burnt-offering', and they shall set up the abomination that maketh desolate.

²⁷ And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations `shall come' one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall `wrath' be poured out upon the desolate.

²¹ yea, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

¹¹ Yea, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and it took away from him the continual `burnt-offering', and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

⁴ It is a holy portion of the land; it shall be for the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, that come near to minister unto Jehovah; and it shall be a place for their houses, and a holy place for the sanctuary.

¹¹ What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats.

⁸ I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; And thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.

⁹ I will take no bullock out of thy house, Nor he-goats out of thy folds.

¹⁰ For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills.

¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains; And the wild beasts of the field are mine.

¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

¹³ Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?

⁶ besides the burnt-offering of the new moon, and the meal-offering thereof, and the continual burnt-offering and the meal-offering thereof, and their drink-offerings, according unto their ordinance, for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.

²⁴ After this manner ye shall offer daily, for seven days, the food of the offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt-offering, and the drink-offering thereof.

³⁸ Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar: two lambs a year old day by day continually.

³⁹ The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
