⁶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths.

⁸ He hath walled up my way that I cannot pass, And hath set darkness in my paths.

²³ `Why is light given' to a man whose way is hid, And whom God hath hedged in?

⁷ He hath walled me about, that I cannot go forth; he hath made my chain heavy.

⁸ Yea, when I cry, and call for help, he shutteth out my prayer.

¹⁴ And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.

¹⁵ And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
