³ Israel hath cast off that which is good: the enemy shall pursue him.

³⁶ And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one fleeth from the sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

²⁵ Jehovah will cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them: and thou shalt be tossed to and from among all the kingdoms of the earth.

³ The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise `and' to do good.

¹⁰ I am Jehovah thy God, Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹¹ But my people hearkened not to my voice; And Israel would none of me.

⁶⁶ Thou wilt pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Jehovah.

¹⁹ Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens: They chased us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

¹¹ Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

¹² having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
