³² What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.

⁵ Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; And the Most High himself will establish her.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world `to be' rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?

¹⁶ For Jehovah hath built up Zion; He hath appeared in his glory.

¹ His foundation is in the holy mountains.

¹² But I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall take refuge in the name of Jehovah.

⁴ For thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

⁷ So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.

¹¹ And it was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.

¹⁸ And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

¹⁵ When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),

²² but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,

¹¹ O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

²⁸ That saith of Cyrus, `He is' my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Jerusalem, She shall be built; and of the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

¹⁷ Behold, the days come, that all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith Jehovah.

¹⁸ And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

¹⁹ Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of Jehovah which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, Is it not so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?

²⁸ The children of thy servants shall continue, And their seed shall be established before thee. Psalm 103 `A Psalm' of David.

¹³ For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for his habitation.

¹⁰ The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

⁶ And there shall be a pavilion for a shade in the day-time from the heat, and for a refuge and for a covert from storm and from rain.

⁴ but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

⁶ Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁶ therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner -`stone' of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.

³² For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of mount Zion they that shall escape. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.
