²⁰ Blessed are yet that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass.

¹ Cast thy bread upon the waters; for thou shalt find it after many days.

²³ And he will give the rain for thy seed, wherewith thou shalt sow the ground; and bread of the increase of the ground, and it shall be fat and plenteous. In that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures;

²⁴ the oxen likewise and the young asses that till the ground shall eat savory provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.

¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

⁹ For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn. Is it for the oxen that God careth,

¹⁰ or saith he it assuredly for our sake? Yea, for our sake it was written: because he that ploweth ought to plow in hope, and he that thresheth, `to thresh' in hope of partaking.

¹¹ If we sowed unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter if we shall reap your carnal things?

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

¹⁴ and believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of them and women;

⁴ But many of them that heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

⁴¹ They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added `unto them' in that day about three thousand souls.

¹⁰ For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

¹¹ so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

⁵ And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.

⁶ And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.

⁷ The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.
