⁸ So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

²⁹ And Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:

²⁰ And they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

²¹ And they journeyed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

³¹ And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:

³² and Jehovah delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel; and he took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

³³ Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.

³⁴ And Joshua passed from Lachish, and all Israel with him, unto Eglon; and they encamped against it, and fought against it;

¹¹ the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

³⁹ Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,

¹³ And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with its suburbs,

²² So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then did Libnah revolt at the same time.

⁹ And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee, he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying,

¹⁰ So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day: then did Libnah revolt at the same time from under his hand, because he had forsaken Jehovah, the God of his fathers.
