⁷ Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, `and' his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, `even' the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

⁶⁷ Then did they spit in his face and buffet him: and some smote him with the palms of their hands,

⁴ unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,

³ He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.

¹⁵ so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.

⁷ Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face.

⁸ I am become a stranger unto my brethren, And an alien unto my mother's children.

⁹ For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, `saying',

⁸ Commit `thyself' unto Jehovah; Let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

¹⁷ Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

²⁸ even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

¹⁵ They therefore cried out, Away with `him', away with `him', crucify him! Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

³⁵ And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also scoffed at him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen.

²³ But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. And their voices prevailed.

³⁸ Then are there crucified with him two robbers, one on the right hand and one on the left.

³⁹ And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads,

⁴⁰ and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.

⁴¹ In like manner also the chief priests mocking `him', with the scribes and elders, said,

⁴² He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.

⁴³ He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

⁴⁴ And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.

⁸ And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

⁶ I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

²³ And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah; and they that wait for me shall not be put to shame.

¹ Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples, from far: Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name:

¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him.

³¹ Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.

¹⁹ Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee.

⁷ They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

³ And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

¹⁰ And foreigners shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.

¹⁶ Thou shalt also suck the milk of the nations, and shalt suck the breast of kings; and thou shalt know that I, Jehovah, am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

²⁷ For which is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.

¹⁸ But they cried out all together, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: --

⁴⁰ They cried out therefore again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.)

⁶ When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify `him', crucify `him'! Pilate saith unto them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth:

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become `the kingdom' of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.

¹⁰ Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

¹² Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him. Psalm 3 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.
