¹⁰ Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me may not abide in the darkness.

² The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

³ When his lamp shined upon my head, And by his light I walked through darkness;

¹² What man is he that feareth Jehovah? Him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.

¹⁴ The friendship of Jehovah is with them that fear him; And he will show them his covenant.

⁷ Jehovah is my strength and my shield; My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; And with my song will I praise him.

¹¹ Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, `Who is' the help of my countenance, and my God.

³ Thou wilt keep `him' in perfect peace, `whose' mind `is' stayed `on thee'; because he trusteth in thee.

⁴ Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jehovah, `even' Jehovah, is an everlasting rock.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

²⁵ Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

²⁶ It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

⁷ But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me.

⁹ I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, `and' I shall behold his righteousness.

⁸ For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which befell `us' in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

⁹ yea, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead:

¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

⁹ and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;

⁷ casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.

¹² Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.

¹⁶ Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.

¹¹ He shall see of the travail of his soul, `and' shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

² and he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me: and he hath made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he kept me close:

³ and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in Jehovah your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

⁸ Behold, I go forward, but he is not `there'; And backward, but I cannot perceive him;

⁹ On the left hand, when he doth work, but I cannot behold him; He hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him.

¹⁰ But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

⁴ Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

¹³ `I had fainted', unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah In the land of the living.

¹⁴ Wait for Jehovah: Be strong, and let thy heart take courage; Yea, wait thou for Jehovah. Psalm 28 `A Psalm' of David.

¹ I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

² He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

³ And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.

⁴ Blessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

⁸ Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do `his commandments': His praise endureth for ever.

¹ Praise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

¹ Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways.

²¹ My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

¹³ `This is' the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole `duty' of man.

⁶ And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in Jehovah his God.

²⁰ And they were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them, because they put their trust in him.

¹² O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but out eyes are upon thee.

¹⁵ Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope: Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.

¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

⁹ Therefore is justice far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
