¹¹ Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful.

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth,

²¹ and he said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: Jehovah gave, and Jehovah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah.

²² In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

¹⁰ But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

¹⁰ Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

¹¹ Blessed are ye when `men' shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

⁸ Jehovah is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness.

¹⁰ And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: and Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.

¹¹ Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one a ring of gold.

¹² So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.

¹³ He had also seven sons and three daughters.

¹⁴ And he called the name of the first, Jemimah: and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.

¹⁵ And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

¹⁶ And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, `even' four generations.

¹⁷ So Job died, being old and full of days.

¹⁸ O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies' sake.

¹⁹ O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

¹⁸ Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; and that will by no means clear `the guilty', visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

³⁶ Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

⁵⁰ And his mercy is unto generations and generations On them that fear him.

²² And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

¹⁸ Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.

³⁹ But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.

² And he prayed unto Jehovah, and said, I pray thee, O Jehovah, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I hasted to flee unto Tarshish; for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

⁶ but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.

¹⁴ for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:

¹² Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which `the Lord' promised to them that love him.

⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials,

⁷ that the proof of your faith, `being' more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

¹³ Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

⁹ the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment;

¹⁰ But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

¹³ and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness; for we have rebelled against him;

⁵ For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.

³⁸ But he, being merciful, forgave `their' iniquity, and destroyed `them' not: Yea, many a time turned he his anger away, And did not stir up all his wrath.

¹ Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

³⁷ Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a `happy' end to the man of peace.

⁶ Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness; For they have been ever of old.

⁷ Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, For thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.

¹⁵ Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope: Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.

¹⁶ This also shall be my salvation, That a godless man shall not come before him.

² And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

³¹ Nevertheless in thy manifold mercies thou didst not make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

¹⁷ and refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them, but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and forsookest them not.

⁹ For if ye turn again unto Jehovah, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Jehovah your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

¹² Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;

²² `It is of' Jehovah's lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

⁹ In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

⁷ I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, `and' the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

⁶ Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found; call ye upon him while he is near:

⁷ let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

⁸ Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof; `and' the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

⁸ Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.

¹ Oh give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever.

² Oh give thanks unto the God of gods; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever.

³ Oh give thanks unto the Lord of lords; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

⁴ To him who alone doeth great wonders; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

⁵ To him that by understanding made the heavens; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

⁶ To him that spread forth the earth above the waters; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

⁷ To him that made great lights; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

⁸ The sun to rule by day; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

⁹ The moon and stars to rule by night; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

¹⁰ To him that smote Egypt in their first-born; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

¹¹ And brought out Israel from among them; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

¹² With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

¹³ To him that divided the Red Sea in sunder; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

¹⁴ And made Israel to pass through the midst of it; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

¹⁵ But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

¹⁶ To him that led his people through the wilderness; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

¹⁷ To him that smote great kings; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

¹⁸ And slew famous kings; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

¹⁹ Sihon king of the Amorites; For his lovingkindness `endureth' forever;

²⁰ And Og king of Bashan; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

²¹ And gave their land for a heritage; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

²² Even a heritage unto Israel his servant; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

²³ Who remembered us in our low estate; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever;

²⁴ And hath delivered us from our adversaries; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever:

²⁵ Who giveth food to all flesh; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever.

²⁶ Oh give thanks unto the God of heaven; For his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever.

¹³² Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

⁵ Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.

¹³ Like as a father pitieth his children, So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

¹³ And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall, I pray, into the hand of Jehovah; for very great are his mercies: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
