²⁴ Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.

³ The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, Keeping watch upon the evil and the good.

¹⁵ Woe unto them that hide deep their counsel from Jehovah, and whose works are in the dark, and that say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

⁷ Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

⁸ Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

²⁷ But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded!

¹¹ If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;

¹² Even the darkness hideth not from thee, But the night shineth as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike `to thee'.

¹³ For thou didst form my inward parts: Thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.

¹⁴ I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, `And' curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

¹⁶ Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, `Even' the days that were ordained `for me', When as yet there was none of them.

¹⁵ For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

¹ Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

² Though they dig into Sheol, thence shall my hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.

³ And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and it shall bite them.

¹¹ He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten; He hideth his face; he will never see it.

¹³ And thou sayest, What doth God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not; And he walketh on the vault of heaven.

¹³ And she called the name of Jehovah that spake unto her, Thou art a God that seeth: for she said, Have I even here looked after him that seeth me?

⁶ But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?

¹³ These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.

¹⁴ The murderer riseth with the light; He killeth the poor and needy; And in the night he is as a thief.

¹⁵ The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, Saying, No eye shall see me: And he disguiseth his face.

¹⁶ In the dark they dig through houses: They shut themselves up in the day-time; They know not the light.

¹⁰ But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is destroyed, and his brethren, and his neighbors; and he is not.

¹² Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.

⁹ Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of wrestling `of judgment': for they say, Jehovah hath forsaken the land, and Jehovah seeth not.

³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

²³ which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

¹³ Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For his name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and the heavens.

¹⁸ But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!
