³¹ And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the `first' year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison;

²⁷ And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

²⁸ and he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

²⁹ and changed his prison garments. And `Jehoiachin' did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life:

³⁰ and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him of the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.

³ But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory and the lifter up of my head.

¹³ within yet three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head, and restore thee unto thine office: and thou shalt give Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

⁶ And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto Jehovah.

¹ The king's heart is in the hand of Jehovah as the watercourses: He turneth it whithersoever he will.

²⁰ And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and the head of the chief baker among his servants.

²⁹ When they cast `thee' down, thou shalt say, `There is' lifting up; And the humble person he will save.
