¹¹ If they hearken and serve `him', They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.

²³ but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

¹³ Now therefore amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of Jehovah your God; and Jehovah will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

³⁰ When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, in the latter days thou shalt return to Jehovah thy God, and hearken unto his voice:

⁷ How much soever she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning.

⁵ Ye have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure; ye have nourished your hearts in a day of slaughter.

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;

¹⁹ If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

² All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth and to him that sacrificeth not; as is the good, so is the sinner; `and' he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

³ This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea also, the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that `they go' to the dead.

¹² So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.

²³ If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.

²¹ Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: Thereby good shall come unto thee.

¹¹ They send forth their little ones like a flock, And their children dance.

¹³ If thou set thy heart aright, And stretch out thy hands toward him;

¹⁴ If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, And let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.

¹⁵ Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

¹⁶ For thou shalt forget thy misery; Thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away,

¹⁷ And `thy' life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.

¹⁸ And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; Yea, thou shalt search `about thee', and shalt take thy rest in safety.

¹⁹ Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; Yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
