¹ And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

² There was together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the `sons' of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

⁴⁶ He came therefore again unto Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

⁴³ On the morrow he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he findeth Philip: and Jesus saith unto him, Follow me.

¹⁴ House and riches are an inheritance from fathers; But a prudent wife is from Jehovah.

⁴ `Let' marriage `be' had in honor among all, and `let' the bed `be' undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹ But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,

² through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;

³ forbidding to marry, `and commanding' to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them that believe and know the truth.

³⁰ because we are members of his body.

³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.

³² This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.

³³ Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and `let' the wife `see' that she fear her husband.

³⁵ Again on the morrow John was standing, and two of his disciples;

²⁹ On the morrow he seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world!

⁴⁶ While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.

¹⁰ A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he shall have no lack of gain.

¹² She doeth him good and not evil All the days of her life.

²² Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favor of Jehovah.

¹ Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways.

² For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

³ Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of thy house; Thy children like olive plants, Round about thy table.

⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed That feareth Jehovah.

²⁸ and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Sidon;

¹⁸ And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.

¹⁹ And out of the ground Jehovah God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the heavens; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them: and whatsoever the man called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

²⁰ And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; but for man there was not found a help meet for him.

²¹ And Jehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof:

²² and the rib, which Jehovah God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

²³ And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

²⁴ Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

²⁵ And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

²⁷ And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

²⁸ And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
