⁵⁸ O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

¹⁶ the angel who hath redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

³⁹ And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be Jehovah, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept back his servant from evil: and the evil-doing of Nabal hath Jehovah returned upon his own head. ¹ Strive thou, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me: Fight thou against them that fight against me.

²³ My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

⁴ Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

³⁶ Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.
