¹² And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of Jehovah.

¹⁵ And Moses said unto his father-in-law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

¹⁶ when they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between a man and his neighbor, and I make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

³⁴ And they put him in ward, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

⁵ And Moses brought their cause before Jehovah.

⁵ And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph speaketh right.

⁶ This is the thing which Jehovah doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best; only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married.

²³ If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people also shall go to their place in peace.
