⁴⁸ But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

⁹ And Joab said to Amasa, Is it well with thee, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with his right hand to kiss him.

¹⁰ But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him therewith in the body, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. And Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.

²¹ His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.

⁶ Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

⁴⁸ Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take him.

⁴⁹ And straightway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and kissed him.

⁵⁰ And Jesus said unto him, Friend, `do' that for which thou art come. Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

⁴⁴ Now he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

⁴⁵ And when he was come, straightway he came to him, and saith, Rabbi; and kissed him.

⁴⁶ And they laid hands on him, and took him.
