¹⁹ and Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,

²⁰ and Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

² Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;

³ and Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram;

⁴ and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;

⁴ Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

⁹ The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

¹⁰ And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

⁴ And Tamar his daughter-in-law bare him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

⁵ The sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul.

¹² and let thy house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which Jehovah shall give thee of this young woman.

²⁰ And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.

²¹ And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

⁸ Judah, thee shall thy brethren praise: Thy hand shall be on the neck of thine enemies; Thy father's sons shall bow down before thee.

¹² And the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

²⁹ And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, Wherefore hast thou made a breach for thyself? Therefore his name was called Perez.

³⁵ And she conceived again, and bare a son. And she said, This time will I praise Jehovah. Therefore she called his name Judah. And she left off bearing.
