¹¹ And Jehovah said unto Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have wrought among them?

²⁴ Yea, they despised the pleasant land, They believed not his word,

³⁷ But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on him:

³² For all this they sinned still, And believed not in his wondrous works.

²² Because they believed not in God, And trusted not in his salvation.

²⁸ And Jehovah said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

²³ surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that despised me see it:

³² Yet in this thing ye did not believe Jehovah your God,

¹⁸ And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient?

¹⁶ For who, when they heard, did provoke? nay, did not all they that came out of Egypt by Moses?

⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

³⁸ But if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.

¹⁹ And he answereth them and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him unto me.

²⁷ How long `shall I bear' with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

⁷ Remember, forget thou not, how thou provokedst Jehovah thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou wentest forth out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against Jehovah.

⁸ Also in Horeb ye provoked Jehovah to wrath, and Jehovah was angry with you to destroy you.

²² And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, ye provoked Jehovah to wrath.

²³ And when Jehovah sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

⁴¹ And they turned again and tempted God, And provoked the Holy One of Israel.

⁴² They remember not his hand, Nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;

⁸ Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness;

²² How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash thy heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thine evil thoughts lodge within thee?

⁵ He hath cast off thy calf, O Samaria; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

¹⁴ For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: As I thought to do evil unto you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I repented not;

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him hither to me.

³ And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
