¹³ Every one that cometh near, that cometh near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah, dieth: shall we perish all of us?

³ but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.

¹¹ And great fear came upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.

¹² And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

¹³ But of the rest durst no man join himself to them: howbeit the people magnified them;

¹⁴ and believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of them and women;

⁵ And Ananias hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost: and great fear came upon all that heard it.

²² Now therefore be ye not scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for a decree of destruction have I heard from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, upon the whole earth.

³ If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

⁴ But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

⁷ For we are consumed in thine anger, And in thy wrath are we troubled.

¹⁴ If he set his heart upon himself, `If' he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

¹⁵ All flesh shall perish together, And man shall turn again unto dust.

¹³ For because ye `bare it' not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.

¹¹ And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza, unto this day.

¹² And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

¹³ So David removed not the ark unto him into the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

⁶ And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth `his hand' to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen stumbled.

⁷ And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

⁸ And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-uzzah, unto this day.

⁹ And David was afraid of Jehovah that day; and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come unto me?

¹⁰ So David would not remove the ark of Jehovah unto him into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

¹¹ And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and Jehovah blessed Obed-edom, and all his house.

¹² And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy.

¹⁹ And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter.

²⁰ And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

²¹ And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kiriath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought back the ark of Jehovah; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.

¹⁶ So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

¹³ And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of Jehovah, was consumed.

⁴ And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the Tent: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.

⁵ And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar; that there be wrath no more upon the children of Israel.

⁶ And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are a gift, given unto Jehovah, to do the service of the tent of meeting.

⁷ And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serve: I give you the priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

²⁶ And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

⁵¹ And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

⁵² And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts.

⁵³ But the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

²⁰ by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

²¹ and `having' a great priest over the house of God;

²² let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,
