²⁵ And the ass saw the angel of Jehovah, and she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.

¹³ He taketh the wise in their own craftiness; And the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.

¹⁴ They meet with darkness in the day-time, And grope at noonday as in the night.

¹⁵ But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, Even the needy from the hand of the mighty.

¹² Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
