¹⁵ Good understanding giveth favor; But the way of the transgressor is hard.

⁴ So shalt thou find favor and good understanding In the sight of God and man.

⁵² And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

¹⁹ Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

²¹ What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

¹⁰ and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

¹⁰ There is grievous correction for him that forsaketh the way; `And' he that hateth reproof shall die.

³⁵ The king's favor is toward a servant that dealeth wisely; But his wrath will be `against' him that causeth shame.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do `his commandments': His praise endureth for ever.

⁹ When your fathers tempted me, Proved me, and saw my work.

¹⁰ Forty years long was I grieved with `that' generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways:

¹¹ Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest.

¹⁴ And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and Jehovah was with him.

¹⁵ And when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he stood in awe of him.

¹⁶ But all Israel and Judah loved David; for he went out and came in before them.
