²⁵ The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul; But the belly of the wicked shall want.

¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; But they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing.

³ Jehovah will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; But he thrusteth away the desire of the wicked.

⁵ Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.

⁸ for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.

¹¹ So shall thy poverty come as a robber, And thy want as an armed man.

²⁴ `They shall be' wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.

¹⁰ For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.

¹³ Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame;

¹⁴ behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.

³⁴ So shall thy poverty come as a robber, And thy want as an armed man.

¹⁸ Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever.

¹⁹ They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

¹⁶ Better is a little that the righteous hath Than the abundance of many wicked.

³ Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on `his' faithfulness.

⁴⁸ therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies that Jehovah shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
