¹⁰ A divine sentence is in the lips of the king; His mouth shall not transgress in judgment.

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.

² And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a great rock in a weary land.

¹² Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow `there' with oxen? that ye have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood;

⁷ Ye who turn justice to wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth,

⁴ They speak `vain' words, swearing falsely in making covenants: therefore judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

⁵ Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

¹² It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness; For the throne is established by righteousness.

¹³ Righteous lips are the delight of kings; And they love him that speaketh right.

⁴ The king's strength also loveth justice; Thou dost establish equity; Thou executest justice and righteousness in Jacob.

¹ Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king's son.

² He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice.

³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.

⁴ He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.

⁶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

⁷ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

²⁸ And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.

³ The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,

⁴ `He shall be' as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, A morning without clouds, `When' the tender grass `springeth' out of the earth, Through clear shining after rain.

¹⁸ And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book, out of `that which is' before the priests the Levites:

¹⁹ and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life; that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them;

²⁰ that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the midst of Israel.

¹⁵ And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? know ye not that such a man as I can indeed divine?

⁵ Is not this that in which my lord drinketh, and whereby he indeed divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
