¹⁶ He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul; `But' he that is careless of his ways shall die.

²⁸ And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

¹⁷ The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: He that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

¹³ Whoso despiseth the word bringeth destruction on himself; But he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

²⁸ But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

¹⁰ If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

¹¹ These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and `that' your joy may be made full.

¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.

¹³ Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing; but the keeping of the commandments of God.

³ And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

²² and whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right `to come' to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.

²² Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

¹⁵ If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.

²⁶ For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?

¹ My son, forget not my law; But let thy heart keep my commandments:

³² He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; But he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding.

²³ Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue Keepeth his soul from troubles.

⁵ Thorns `and' snares are in the way of the perverse: He that keepeth his soul shall be far from them.

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

⁵ Whoso keepeth the commandment shall know no evil thing; and a wise man's heart discerneth time and judgment:

¹³ `This is' the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole `duty' of man.

²³ but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

⁵ He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him; whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul.

¹⁸ To such as keep his covenant, And to those that remember his precepts to do them.
