² For their heart studieth oppression, And their lips talk of mischief.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression: Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

³ Draw me not away with the wicked, And with the workers of iniquity; That speak peace with their neighbors, But mischief is in their hearts.

¹⁴ Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

³⁵ They conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity, And their heart prepareth deceit.

¹⁰ and said, O full of all guile and all villany, thou son of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

² Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war.

⁴ That they may shoot in secret places at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

⁵ They encourage themselves in an evil purpose; They commune of laying snares privily; They say, Who will see them?

⁶ They search out iniquities; We have accomplished, `say they', a diligent search: And the inward thought and the heart of every one is deep.

⁴ He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

⁶ But he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had made known to him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

⁷ In the first month, which is the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, `to' the twelfth `month', which is the month Adar.

⁸ He that deviseth to do evil, Men shall call him a mischief-maker.
