²⁴ Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression, The same is the companion of a destroyer.

⁹ He also that is slack in his work Is brother to him that is a destroyer.

²⁶ He that doeth violence to his father, and chaseth away his mother, Is a son that causeth shame and bringeth reproach.

² And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred `pieces' of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou didst utter a curse, and didst also speak it in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be my son of Jehovah.

⁷ Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.

⁴ For God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death.

⁵ But ye say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is given `to God';

⁶ he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.

²⁰ Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise; But the companion of fools shall smart for it.
