¹⁰ Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; And the years of thy life shall be many.

² For length of days, and years of life, And peace, will they add to thee.

¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:

¹³ And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, `even the word' of God, ye accepted `it' not `as' the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.

³² What he hath seen and heard, of that he beareth witness; and no man receiveth his witness.

³³ He that hath received his witness hath set his seal to `this', that God is true.

²⁰ Yet hear the word of Jehovah, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.

²⁰ Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction, and not silver; And knowledge rather than choice gold.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.

¹ My son, if thou wilt receive my words, And lay up my commandments with thee;

²² Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, And lay up his words in thy heart.

² that thou mightest fear Jehovah thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

¹⁶ Honor thy father and thy mother, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee; that thy days may be long, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
