² For I give you good doctrine; Forsake ye not my law.

² My doctrine shall drop as the rain; My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb.

⁶ Hear, for I will speak excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things.

⁷ For my mouth shall utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.

⁹ They are all plain to him that understandeth, And right to them that find knowledge.

³⁰ If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

³¹ If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

³² Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

³ My words `shall utter' the uprightness of my heart; And that which my lips know they shall speak sincerely.

⁹ holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict the gainsayers.

⁶ If thou put the brethren in mind of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast followed `until now':

¹⁶ Jesus therefore answered them and said, My teaching is not mine, but his that sent me.

¹⁷ If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or `whether' I speak from myself.

²⁰ Have not I written unto thee excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,

²¹ To make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, That thou mayest carry back words of truth to them that send thee?

¹ Hear this, all ye peoples; Give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world,

² Both low and high, Rich and poor together.

³ My mouth shall speak wisdom; And the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

⁴ For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.

¹⁹ But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

⁹ And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
