⁸ Passing through the street near her corner; And he went the way to her house,

¹ And Samson went to Gaza, and saw there a harlot, and went in unto her.

² And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

³ And David send and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?

¹⁴ Enter not into the path of the wicked, And walk not in the way of evil men.

¹⁵ Avoid it, pass not by it; Turn from it, and pass on.

⁸ Remove thy way far from her, And come not nigh the door of her house;

¹² Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, And lieth in wait at every corner.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

²² after righteousness, faith, love, pace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

²³ and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
