³ For my days consume away like smoke, And my bones are burned as a firebrand.

¹⁴ whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. What is your life? For ye are a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

³⁰ My skin is black, `and falleth' from me, And my bones are burned with heat.

²⁰ But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away.

¹³ From on high hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them; He hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: He hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

¹⁰ For my life is spent with sorrow, And my years with sighing: My strength faileth because of mine iniquity, And my bones are wasted away.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.

⁸³ For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.

⁴ My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
