²⁵ I am become also a reproach unto them: When they see me, they shake their head.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, `saying',

³ For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

¹⁹ Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee.

¹⁶ Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth.

¹¹ Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintance: They that did see me without fled from me.

¹² I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

¹³ For I have heard the defaming of many, Terror on every side: While they took counsel together against me, They devised to take away my life.

⁴ I also could speak as ye do; If your soul were in my soul's stead, I could join words together against you, And shake my head at you.
