⁴ Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

⁵ Out of my distress I called upon Jehovah: Jehovah answered me `and set me' in a large place.

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

⁴² And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.

⁴³ And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

¹³ But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.

¹ In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

² Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Jehovah,

³ and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed unto Jehovah, saying,

¹⁶ O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, that sittest `above' the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

¹⁷ Incline thine ear, O Jehovah, and hear; open thine eyes, O Jehovah, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent to defy the living God.

¹⁸ Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries, and their land,

¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.

²⁰ Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, even thou only.

⁶ I spread forth my hands unto thee: My soul `thirsteth' after thee, as a weary land. Selah

⁷ Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit.

⁸ Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; For in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; For I lift up my soul unto thee.

⁹ Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

⁴ Look on `my' right hand, and see; For there is no man that knoweth me: Refuge hath failed me; No man careth for my soul.

⁵ I cried unto thee, O Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

⁶ Attend unto my cry; For I am brought very low: Deliver me from my persecutors; For they are stronger than I.

¹ Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.

² Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

¹⁵ And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

¹² For innumerable evils have compassed me about; Mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; And my heart hath failed me.

¹³ Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me: Make haste to help me, O Jehovah.

⁶ This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷ Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

⁸ I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication:

¹⁷ The troubles of my heart are enlarged: Oh bring thou me out of my distresses.

¹ My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? `Why art thou so' far from helping me, `and from' the words of my groaning?

² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

³ But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

⁶ In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.

⁴ Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul: Save me for thy lovingkindness' sake.

¹² And when he was in distress, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

¹³ And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah he was God.

² and Jesus also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage.
