¹⁴⁷ I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.

³ O Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; In the morning will I order `my prayer' unto thee, and will keep watch.

³⁵ And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.

⁵ I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

⁶ My soul `waiteth' for the Lord More than watchmen `wait' for the morning; `Yea, more than' watchmen for the morning.

¹⁷ Wherein God, being minded to show more abundantly unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;

¹⁸ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:

¹⁹ which we have as an anchor of the soul, `a hope' both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

⁸¹ KAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation; `But' I hope in thy word.

⁷⁴ They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.

² Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early.

¹³ But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried; And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.

⁸ Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early.

⁴ In God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?

⁸ `Yet' Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time; And in the night his song shall be with me, `Even' a prayer unto the God of my life.

³ For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

⁹ With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
