¹⁴⁸ Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches, That I might meditate on thy word.

⁶ When I remember thee upon my bed, `And' meditate on thee in the night-watches.

¹⁹ Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; Pour out thy heart like water before the face of the Lord: Lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street.

¹ O God, thou art my God; earnestly will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee, In a dry and weary land, where no water is.

⁶² At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances.

¹⁷ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

¹⁸ If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee.

¹² And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.
