¹ Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man:

⁴⁸ He rescueth me from mine enemies; Yea, thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.

⁴ Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

¹³ Arise, O Jehovah, Confront him, cast him down: Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword;

⁴ Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

¹¹ An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

² O Jehovah, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save.

³ Why dost thou show me iniquity, and look upon perverseness? for destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention riseth up.

¹ Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

¹ Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: Set me on high from them that rise up against me.

² Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from the bloodthirsty men.

³ For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; The mighty gather themselves together against me: Not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.
