¹² I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.

⁴ For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

⁴⁹ then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling-place, and maintain their cause;

⁴⁵ then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

⁵ the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good tidings preached to them.

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Was not this to know me? saith Jehovah.

⁴ but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

¹⁰ Remove not the ancient landmark; And enter not into the fields of the fatherless:

¹¹ For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their cause against thee.

²² Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

¹⁷ He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.

¹² For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper.

¹³ He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save.

¹⁴ He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight:

⁴ He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?

²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

¹⁷ Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;
