⁸ Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

² They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

⁶ And if he come to see `me', he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

²⁰ He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

¹⁶ And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead;

¹⁷ and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, `even' the name of the beast or the number of his name.

³⁰ And if thy right hand causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell.

⁵ They hatch adders' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth; and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

⁶ Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

⁷ Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths.

² For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me: They have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.

³ They have compassed me about also with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause.

²⁶ Therefore he sware unto them, That he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

⁴ They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah

³ The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression: Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

⁴⁰ For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,
