⁵ Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.

²⁴ Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

²⁶ My flesh and my heart faileth; `But' God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

⁵ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

⁵ I cried unto thee, O Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

⁵⁷ HHETH. Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.

⁹ For Jehovah's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁴ Thy seed will I establish for ever, And build up thy throne to all generations. Selah

²⁰ I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:

²¹ With whom my hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.

²² The enemy shall not exact from him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

²³ And I will beat down his adversaries before him, And smite them that hate him.

²⁴ But my faithfulness and my lovingkindness shall be with him; And in my name shall his horn be exalted.

²⁵ I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.

²⁶ He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.

²⁷ I also will make him `my' first-born, The highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁸ My lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.

²⁹ His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

³¹ If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

³² Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

³³ But my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

³⁴ My covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

³⁵ Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:

³⁶ His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.

³⁷ It shall be established for ever as the moon, And `as' the faithful witness in the sky. Selah

¹³ I will take the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of Jehovah.

¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance: Jehovah of hosts is his name.

³¹ Him did God exalt with his right hand `to be' a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

¹² Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹¹ Jehovah hath sworn unto David in truth; He will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

⁷ For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

⁸ Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

⁹ Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

¹⁰ Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.

¹¹ For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

¹² For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

⁶ Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

⁴ For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

⁶ Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.

¹⁸ And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

¹ Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

² Jehovah will send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

³ For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity.

¹⁷ There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

¹⁸ His enemies will I clothe with shame; But upon himself shall his crown flourish. Psalm 133 A Song of Ascents; of David.

¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

⁶ Thou wilt prolong the king's life; His years shall be as many generations.

⁷ He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
