³ Draw me not away with the wicked, And with the workers of iniquity; That speak peace with their neighbors, But mischief is in their hearts.

² They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

²¹ His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, Nor my life with men of blood;

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁵ Thus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:

⁴ They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah

⁸ Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he layeth wait for him.

⁹ Shall I not visit them for these things? saith Jehovah; shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

²³ Fervent lips and a wicked heart Are `like' an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.

²⁴ He that hateth dissembleth with his lips; But he layeth up deceit within him:

²⁵ When he speaketh fair, believe him not; For there are seven abominations in his heart:

²⁶ Though `his' hatred cover itself with guile, His wickedness shall be openly showed before the assembly.

¹ Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God `endureth' continually.

⁴ He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

¹⁴ Thou hast seen `it'; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: The helpless committeth `himself' unto thee; Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression: Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

¹⁴ Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

¹⁵ Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might ensnare him in `his' talk.

¹⁶ And they send to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one: for thou regardest not the person of men.

¹⁷ Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

¹⁸ But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why make ye trial of me, ye hypocrites?

²⁶ And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
