¹⁴ Yea, I am as a man that heareth not, And in whose mouth are no reproofs.

¹³ Therefore he that is prudent shall keep silence in such a time; for it is an evil time.

⁵ Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

³ And the chief priests accused him of many things.

⁴ And Pilate again asked him, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they accuse thee of.

⁵ But Jesus no more answered anything; insomuch that Pilate marvelled.

⁶ And this they said, trying him, that they might have `whereof' to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
