⁶ I am pained and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

²⁸ I go mourning without the sun: I stand up in the assembly, and cry for help.

¹⁴ I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.

⁹ I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

² For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

⁵ Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And `why' art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him `For' the help of his countenance.

¹⁴ Like a swallow `or' a crane, so did I chatter; I did moan as a dove; mine eyes fail `with looking' upward: O Lord, I am oppressed, be thou my surety.

¹⁴ Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.

⁹ Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O Jehovah; I have spread forth my hands unto thee.

⁶ They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down: They have digged a pit before me; They are fallen into the midst thereof themselves. Selah

¹⁰ For my life is spent with sorrow, And my years with sighing: My strength faileth because of mine iniquity, And my bones are wasted away.

⁶ I am weary with my groaning; Every night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
