¹ Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

¹ Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in Jehovah without wavering.

¹⁵ Jehovah therefore be judge, and give sentence between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thy hand.

¹ Strive thou, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me: Fight thou against them that fight against me.

²⁴ Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

⁸ Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me.

⁶ Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth the blood-thirsty and deceitful man.

⁴ For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

⁹ I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, `and' I shall behold his righteousness.

¹¹ For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their cause against thee.

²³ For Jehovah will plead their cause, And despoil of life those that despoil them.

⁷ But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and lifteth up another.

⁴ Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

³¹ And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Jehovah, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

²³ who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered threatened not; but committed `himself' to him that judgeth righteously:

²⁰ Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give your counsel what we shall do.

²¹ And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, that he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then will the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

²² So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

²³ And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

¹ Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:

² and I will come upon him while he is weary and weak-handed, and will make him afraid; and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only;

³ and I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: `so' all the people shall be in peace.

⁴ And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
